In September 2006, the Alliance Française de Jersey celebrated its 10th Anniversary. On this occasion, the Bailiff of Jersey, Sir Philip Bailhache, mentioned the idea of a French-speaking school.
For the last ten years, Alliance Française has been involved in teaching French to adults as well as children and enrolments for children have, in fact, increased, especially for the last 2 years. As a result the Alliance Francaise has decided to do further research on the subject and a feasibility study is now in progress.
